You may remember that the development of the ozone hole in the stratosphere due to the presence of man-refrigerant gases which interfered with the absorption of ultraviolet light was a huge issue a number of years back. Due to the banning of these gases, the ozone hole has finally begun to repair itself. EarthSky posted a video a couple of weeks ago which shows how the ozone hole has changed over time and how it is decreasing in size now that CFCs are no longer being added to the atmosphere. You can view it here.
