Today’s Drought Monitor shows that all moderate drought is now gone from Georgia and South Carolina, although a few small residual areas of abnormally dry conditions remain. Those are likely to be removed in next week’s DM with the rains that are expected over the next few days. The moderate drought in east central Florida remains, however, since the track of the rain-bearing system stays to the north of the driest area.
