The Atlanta Journal-Constitution published a sad but interesting story this week about how farmers in Southwest Georgia are still coping with the total devastation of Hurricane Michael. In many cases, it is clear that life will never be the same, but farmers and other residents are working together towards a new future. You can read the story here.

The Vegetable and Specialty Crop Newsletter posted another story about farmers in Florida who fear that their situation is not well understood by folks in Washington. There have been a number of workshops held to provide information on sources of disaster relief but it is not coming fast enough for some producers.
