The latest outlook for September and the September through November 2018 period is now available from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center. It shows that only a small part of the Southeast is leaning towards above normal temperatures, while most of the region is in equal chances of above, near or below normal temperatures for September. For the fall, most areas of the US except Georgia, Alabama and Florida are leaning towards warmer than normal temperatures. For precipitation, September is expected to be above normal, and that may continue into the September through November period, although chances are smaller.
