In the last day I’ve seen a couple of new stories on the response (or lack thereof) to damage from Hurricanes Maria and Irma, which hit Puerto Rico and Florida, respectively.

The National Public Radio story looks at FEMA’s tardy response to the devastation from Maria across the island of Puerto Rico. You can read that and listen to it at https://www.npr.org/2018/06/14/608588161/fema-blamed-delays-in-puerto-rico-on-maria-agency-records-tell-another-story.

Thomson Reuters posted a separate story on problems that residents of the Florida Keys are still having in finding housing almost a year after Hurricane Irma crossed the region. That story is at https://news.trust.org/item/20180614100027-u9ihm/.
