According to the annual climate summary released this week by NOAA, it was the warmest year on record for Arizona, Georgia (tied with 2016), New Mexico, and North and South Carolina. 2017 was also the 20th wettest year on record for the nation, and the fifth consecutive year with above-average precipitation, according to the report.
