Here’s a list of the record hottest temperature in each of the 50 states according to KOCO TV. The link is here.  However, they managed to forget Alabama.  That record is 112 F, set on September 6, 1925 in Centreville, a very hot year in many parts of the Southeast. Note that the record high temperatures in the Southeast are similar to record highs as far north as Minnesota and they are less than in the desert Southwest due to higher humidity in the Southeast compared to the dry conditions out west.
