According to the Southeast Farm Press, “the wheat crop in North Carolina’s Central Piedmont has generally recovered from the hard freeze of March 15 and 16, but yields will still be down significantly while the crop in the Southern Piedmont will still show devastating losses.”  Yields in the Southern Piedmont are expected to show an 80-90 percent loss.
