NOAA released their latest monthly summary of climate for the US in April 2017 yesterday.  It shows that for the US as a whole, it was the second wettest and the 11th warmest April since records began in 1895.  It was the second warmest year to date and the 5th wettest.  You can read more at https://www.noaa.gov/news/us-had-2nd-wettest-11th-warmest-april-on-record or more detailed information at https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/news/national-climate-201704.
