The latest 7-day QPF shows a moderate amount of rain falling in northern areas of the region, with little to no rain occurring in southern Georgia and Alabama and most of Florida.  More rain will fall off the coasts, but will not necessarily affect inland areas.  From a timing standpoint, some precipitation is likely to fall later this weekend with the passage of a cold front through the area.  Tuesday through Thursday should be dry as a strong cold high pressure system pushes through the area, bringing freezing conditions to most of the Southeast except for Florida.  The next system will bring more rain to the area by late in the week.
