Growing Georgia published a report by Tim Daly this week discussing the impacts of the recent drought on landscaping plants.  In spite of the recent rains, the drought caused a lot of damage to coniferous plants as well as other plants.  I know I have a dead pine in my yard this year that I need to deal with, and many other people have experienced problems as well.  I’ve also heard from foresters that other trees in the forests of north Georgia have also been stressed by the recent dry conditions and that a lot of tree deaths are expected in the next few years due to the damage from the drought.  You can read the Growing Georgia article here.
