What’s your favorite kind of weather?  What temperatures do you like best?  While there is likely to be a range of values in your group of friends, scientists generally define “mild” weather as temperatures between 64 and 86 degrees F, with less than a half inch of rain and dew points below 68 degrees F, indicative of low humidity.

As the climate continues to warm, the frequency of mild days is expected to decrease in some areas while it expands in others.  In the tropics, mild days will be come rarer, and this includes the Southeast, although not as much as the deep tropics.  In higher latitude locations like Canada, the number of mild days is expected to increase as the warming brings shorter winter seasons and longer warm conditions.  You can read more about it from NOAA at https://www.noaa.gov/media-release/climate-change-to-shift-global-pattern-of-mild-weather.
