The Southeast Farm Press released a short article on five causes of cattle death that are not common but become more frequent in drought or after frost. This year due to the drought livestock producers need to keep a careful watch on this.   You can read more about this here.  Lee Jones, University of Georgia veterinarian, recommends having an animal that dies suddenly with unknown causes to have a thorough autopsy done by a veterinarian to determine if any of these situations is a factor.
