Today is a transition day for Dr. Ryan Boyles, the North Carolina State Climatologist who has been one of the most active state climatologists in the country and who was featured on this blog in July 2015.  Ryan is moving to the Department of the Interior’s Southeast Climate Science Center and will serve there as a deputy director.  Fortunately for Ryan, the CSC is in Raleigh, so it’s a short move down the road for him.  Ryan has been a tremendous help to climatologists around the country by providing innovative data management techniques as well as interesting scientific studies, and I am looking forward to working with him in his new role.  He is leaving his office in good hands and you can see their work at https://climate.ncsu.edu/.  They have data and agricultural tools for the entire Southeast, not just North Carolina, so it is worth checking out.

You can read more about him and his work at https://climate.ncsu.edu/climateblog?id=200&h=5666e5c1.

Congratulations, Ryan!
