After a dry February, farmers in California were concerned about whether or not they would get enough rain in the remainder of this winter to put a dent in their long-term drought.  But the weather pattern has shifted and it looks like another stormy period will bring welcome moisture to the area, including southern California which has been missed by some of the more recent storms.  You can read about it at Jeff Masters’ WunderBlog here.
