The National Weather Service has issued a Day 5 Outlook (Tuesday to Wednesday next week) for severe weather which indicates a moderate chance of severe weather.  The severe weather includes the chance for strong winds, hail, and tornadoes.  Localized heavy rain is also possible.

The center of the most likely area is in Alabama and stretches back into Mississippi and Louisiana and Arkansas and extends slightly into northwest Georgia.  This forecast area has been remarkably consistent for the last few days and the models indicate a high degree of confidence in severe weather occurrence.

If you have outdoor activities planned in those areas, be sure that you have a way to get severe weather warnings via smartphone app, weather radio or other method.
