AgWeb had an interesting story this week about how cattle producers have been affected by the large number of forest fires that have occurred there this year due to the drought.  The fires have destroyed large numbers of acres that were devoted to forest grazing, increasing the need for ranchers to find other sources of food for their animals.  In addition, regulations on when you can graze burned-over areas keep some cattle off of land that was used in the past for grazing.

You can read the story here.
