NOAA has put out their national summary for the climate of April 2015 this morning.  It shows that overall the lower 48 states were about 2 degrees above average and 17th warmest since records began in 1895.  It was also above normal in rainfall.

In the Southeast, as expected Florida set a new record for the hottest April, surpassing the old record set in 1908.  Georgia was tied for the 7th warmest April and some of the southern climate divisions also set records for the warmest April on record in their region.  Precipitation was generally above normal across the Southeast with the wettest climate divisions in central Georgia.
