I am your guide to the vagaries of weather and climate in the Southeast and their impact on livestock and crop production. I am Pam Knox, agricultural climatologist in the Crop and Soil Sciences Department of CAES at the University of Georgia. I’ve been a climatologist in Wisconsin and Georgia for many years and have been interested in the weather since I was in 3rd grade, when a tornado demolished a church just two blocks from my childhood home in Michigan. I’m also a forensic meteorologist and enjoy determining how weather and climate have affected past events. As a climatologist, I know where to find many types of weather and climate data and use them to keep track of the current climate conditions. I love to share weather and climate information and welcome your questions and comments.
