Tax Workshop on the New Tax Laws – Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension will hold a tax law workshop in Bulloch County at the Bulloch County Center for Ag (Extension Office).  This meeting will cover individual tax changes like standard deductions, business tax changes, and comparisons of corporation tax statuses.  Georgia farmers and landowners can learn more about how the new tax law affects them individually and their farming operation at the tax bill workshops. After the training, attendees will be better equipped to navigate the new tax provisions.  The workshop will highlight estate tax changes, individual tax changes and business tax changes in the “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.” The workshop will also include a review of schedule F and how to report income as well as some tax planning techniques.  Dr. Robert Tufts, an Alabama Extension farm management specialist emeritus and attorney, will conduct the workshop at the Bulloch County Center for Ag on Friday, May 18, 9 am – 12 p.m. Registration is only $20 with a networking lunch to follow.  Register by May 10th to attend this meeting! For questions regarding this event, please contact: Jason Mallard 478-982-4408.  To view the agenda and register go to the Bulloch County registration page at: https://events.attend.com/f/1383784348
