Disease resistance packages are crucial. Especially as we move into the later part of the corn planting season. Look at these pictures from Dr. Kemerait. This corn was planted in the same field, using Counter 20G nematicide. However, the plant on the left came out of a row that the tube was stopped up on. If you have corn that has been in the ground for a little while, now is the time to look for nematode damage. Patterns mean everything. The second picture pattern tells us that something was either not applied or applied incorrectly to this field. Patterns in a field mean everything.


Hail Damaged Corn-
I took these pictures in Burke County 4 days apart of the same field. I am working to build a database of issues such as this so going forward when you all have questions, I can say here are previous pictures and estimates. 4 days made a huge difference in how this corn looks. It is making a pretty good recovery.
