Peanut RX Guides for most of the programs are posted here 2025 Peanut Rx. Please refer to them when selecting fungicide programs. As always, ask us if you have questions, don’t play a guessing game.

Nematodes- We know they are there. “once you close the furrow, you missed the opportunity.” The only way to know whether or not you have plant parasitic nematodes is to have pulled a sample. We recommend pulling those samples around harvest time for crops. If your operation hasn’t been pulling samples, this is the year to start, but not until harvest time. Nematode populations will be on the rise as there will likely be some back to back cropping in the same fields in the coming years. Resistant crops and nematicides are the only protection.

I borrowed the above picture from LSU. This is rootknot nematode damage in cotton. This will drastically affect this producer’s yield. Do not be like this producer in a year where commodity and input prices are so uncertain. Give us a call if you have questions about what is best for your operation.
