I was contacted this afternoon by Captain Todd Hutchens of the Bulloch County Sheriffs Office. He wanted me to alert farmers in the county of diesel fuel being stolen from trailers and equipment being left in fields. They have also had some incidences in Effingham and Screven County.
Please lock tanks and do not leave fuel tanks in fields. If you have any information related to the theft of diesel fuel out of your equipment or tanks left in field, please contact the Bulloch County Sheriffs Office at (912) 764-1787. If the theft takes place in a county other than Bulloch then contact that county’s local Sheriffs Office.
