Last week, Bryan County 4-H attended a summer horse camp at M & R Ranch in Black Creek. Several youth from all age groups participated in a week long, fun filled and exciting experience. Whether they were beginner or advanced riders, fun was had by all. They were taught various skills to include trotting, posting, jumping, stall and equipment maintenance, horse care and safety.
There were also lots of fun games, crafts and swimming to wrap up their hot days.
On Friday, the farrier visited with a history lesson on his profession followed by a hands on learning experience with the horseshoes.
