I want to share results obtained from the Brooks County 2016 Corn Silage Variety trial. \u00a0We planted this trial on\u00a0April 25th and harvested 14 weeks later on July 27th. \u00a0This year\u2019s trial included\u00a069 replications, 23 varieties replicated three times each.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The varieties are ranked according to two different parameters,\u00a0lbs. of milk\/acre and green tons @35% moisture\/acre. \u00a0We conduct this trial annually, in order to assist our Dairymen and growers\u00a0with variety selection and planting decisions pertaining to silage production. \u00a0We would like to thank our cooperators, sponsors, and seed companies for their support and assistance. \u00a0All data collected is available at our office, please call or e-mail\u00a0us if you would like additional copies or if you have any questions.\u00a0Also, I have provided a link\u00a0to view the data in its entirety.<\/p>\n

Note*<\/strong> Top 3 hybrids were statistically the same, compared the all 23 hybrids in the trial<\/p>\n
