Some of our oldest peanuts are approaching maturity and need to be sampled to see when they are ready to dig. The recommended sampling time is 125 days, which would be peanuts planted on May 1 as of today. I have already tested 7 or 8 fields with the maturity board and most are looking like they will push out to 140 days or more. There has been one sample so far that looks like it will be ready before 140 days. It is important to predict maturity so that we can get the best grade and quality out of our crop. I am set up to blast at the office so please call me if you want me to look at them.

Great looking uniform crop planted on April 29. Irrigated.
