{"id":2239,"date":"2018-01-29T09:30:49","date_gmt":"2018-01-29T14:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/applingcrop\/?p=2239"},"modified":"2018-01-29T09:38:33","modified_gmt":"2018-01-29T14:38:33","slug":"2018-dicamba-label-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.extension.uga.edu\/applingcrop\/2018\/01\/2018-dicamba-label-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 Dicamba Label Changes and Paraquat Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"CSS_LIGHTBOX_SCALED_IMAGE_IMG\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-VkvHX9mrr24\/WmtAA3eui5I\/AAAAAAAAA-8\/rQokpP0iqaYNJE5vhJ-QerZf4rQLF8rpACLcBGAs\/s1600\/Slide1.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>2018 Dicamba Label Changes <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to the recent concerns about off-target movement of dicamba, the EPA has mandated significant label changes for Engenia\u00ae, Fexapan&#x2122;, and Xtendimax\u00ae for 2018.\u00a0 Some of these important label changes are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0Engenia\u00ae, Fexapan&#x2122;, and Xtendimax\u00ae will now be considered <strong><em><u>Restricted Use Pesticides<\/u><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0Growers who use Engenia\u00ae, Fexapan&#x2122;, and Xtendimax\u00ae will be required to keep the following records for a period of <strong><em><u>2 years<\/u><\/em>, <\/strong>records must be generated within <strong><em><u>14 days<\/u><\/em><\/strong> of application, and a record must be kept for <strong><em><u>every<\/u><\/em><\/strong> application:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Certified Applicator Name<\/li>\n<li>Applicator Certification Number<\/li>\n<li>Product Name<\/li>\n<li>EPA registration Number<\/li>\n<li>Total Amount Applied<\/li>\n<li>Application Date<\/li>\n<li>Crop or site of application<\/li>\n<li>Location of application<\/li>\n<li>Size of area treated<\/li>\n<li>Training Requirement: Proof of auxin training<\/li>\n<li>Application timing: PRE or number of days after planting<\/li>\n<li>Receipts of Product Purchase<\/li>\n<li>Products Labels<\/li>\n<li>Buffer Requirement: record buffer distance calculation<\/li>\n<li>Sensitive Crop Awareness: Applicator must survey and document neighboring fields for sensitive areas or crops<\/li>\n<li>Spray Systems Cleanout:\u00a0 Must be documented that applicator complied with label.<\/li>\n<li>Tank-Mix-Products: complete list of all\u00a0<strong><em><u>approved<\/u><\/em><\/strong>products that were tank-mixed<\/li>\n<li>Application Start and Finish Times<\/li>\n<li>Nozzle Selection<\/li>\n<li>Air Temperature:\u00a0 At boom height for start and finish<\/li>\n<li>Wind Speed\/Direction: At boom height for start and finish<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>*Fexapan&#x2122;
